Who we are

Dan Krupp is a New England native and splits his time between Massachusetts and Maine, though his heart still resides in Japan. A constant tinkerer, Dan’s journey into knifemaking began years ago in his garage restoring and re-handling antique Japanese cutlery procured through his travels. Over time, restoration gave way to original creation and Kirigami Forge was born. While Dan still enjoys restorations, his true passion is creating original, functional artwork, be it in the form of cutlery, tools, or even the occasional coffee dripper.
